In April I will be making a 7 day road trip from Warsaw to Vilnius with two friends.

We plan to visit a few airsoftstores in Warsaw and to go to Bialowieska Forest for 2 days. However, that still leaves plenty of time for other things.

Does anyone have any good tips for interesting military historical to visit along the way? Preferably from the By Fire and Sword period of course, but any conflict will do. :)

If you have some time, you can go to Kruszyniany. It's a village, which for hundred years was home of polish Tartars. Now only a few od villagers are muslim, but they have antique, wooden mosque.

If you go by car you can visit Giżycko - there is Prussian fortress there. On the way to Vilnus visit castle Trakai.

On your way from Warsaw to Vilnus, very close to Białystok is a small that we know even from our game - Tykocin. I really enjoyed my visit there and it surely didn't take more time than 2 hours (including time needed to get there from the main road S8). You can find there monument of Hetman Stefan Czarniecki, Holy Trinity church from 1434, partially reconstructed castle and nice main square.

On your way from Tykocin to Białystok you will pass small settlement Rzędziany. There is nothing really interesting in it, as long as you won't realise that Rzędzian (Skrzetuski's servant from "By Fire and Sword" novel and film) was coming from there.

I wish you a good time in Poland :)
