Now I have read this thread about alternate miniatures:

But I am wondering what you guys out there prefer for your Danish troops? I know it is all about personal preference, but curious what other people have chosen!?

The more I look at it (on the Internet), the more I prefer Brandenburg / Imperials over Swedish troops. What do you guys think?

In the end I hope some more specific Danes will be produced soon...

Have a look at the official Danish briefing. Every unit has a line underneath the stats telling which miniatures are best to use. Maybe I have some time to put the list on here. Actually, Danes not having specific miniatures (other than command and snapphaner), but a mix of multiple armies, makes it a very unique army that suits really well on every battlefield.

Except officers and partisans they won't have new line, there's no point.

Ah, I wanted to respond on this issue too. Because I thought that even if there would be boxes for the Danes, they would still be a mix of the list given in the official briefing.

Officers: Danish command and any “Western’ types of officers (Swedish, Danzig, Imperial, Brandenburg).
National Cavalry: Swedish (arquebuses when possible), Brandenburg and Danzig sets.
Mercenary Cavalry: Swedish, Imperial (Cuirassier! - ah change from all the reiters), Brandenburg.
National Danish Infantry: Swedish and Danzig sets.
Mercenary Infantry: Swedish, Imperial and Danzig sets.
National/Mercenary Dragoons: Swedish and Brandenburg sets.

For the Dutch I thought it was Old Type mercenaries, but not very sure about it...

Dutch are not 'Old type', any 'Western' troops will do but had to be unarmoured pike and muskets without forks

Ah thanks! Then I got the advise to take New Type. Have to work on my memory. When I will start with my Danes in the future (probably when the Danish-Swedish book will be released) I will definetely create some awesome mixes of troops (already made an Excel sheet with what, how much etc.).

So, with the Danes on the horizon I was having a look again on what is usable for a list with the Dutch (or Scots - right Kadrinazi? I will still give them huge Dutch flags ).

I saw in the list for additional & replacement miniatures that for the national and mercenary cavalry we can use "all three types of Imperial cuirassiers".
Am I correct to assume these are the normal unarmored, armored and Piccolomini miniatures?
