Task Force Level rules

As we have promised we have Task Force Level rules for you.

Please have in mind that it is Beta version of rules just to give you some preview what can you expect from the Task force rulebook which is scheduled for February/March 2018.

It will contain:

- much more Task Forces (at least 30-40)
- more scenarios
- more rules (for example Tactics you can buy before the battle same way as currently on Division level)
- obviously graphic will be improved (beta is only raw version)

We hope you'll like the rules. Feedback from the Polish players (and those of you who speak Polish or have Polish friends) is very good, but everything can be improved :) We're looking forward for feedback from you as well.

Please read the rules carefully. There are differences between existing levels and Task Force level. Even if name of the special rules is the same as on Skirmish level it may have different effect (like Swedish 'Small companies') ,

Many Thanks for Neil Mancer and Karl Erik Shanstrom for their help with English version.

Hurray! :D

Looks very good and interesting :)

But is it intentional that "Poor Quality Horses" special rule is mentioned for PLC forces but no list has it?

Lithuanian Force should have it.
Tomorrow we'll release new version - with some issue fixed.

We played a game yesterday and first impressions are good. While there are more troops on the table, the game still plays quickly because the units are usually bigger than on the skirmish level.

Some questions though. We played the Domination scenario. This has special rules for how bases are counted towards control of a zone. It says that infantry or artillery with a Defense order, in buildings, in BUA or in fortifications counts as two bases. Is this any unit with a Defence order, or any unit in a building/etc. Or only units with a Defence order and in buildings/etc.

And a minor question about the Muscovite list. It's possible to get servant Cossack squadrons of six bases, so two rota's. These can be expanded to eight bases. Just like the rota's in the skirmish list have three bases, and can be expanded to four bases. However, in the rules it's not allowed to have a squadron of eight bases. The maximum is six for dragoons, unless there is a special rule, and servant Cossacks don't have such a rule. So should these bigger squadrons be allowed or is this a mistake?

Both condition must be met.

It's intentional, the same like European sipahi in the Ottoman Task Force. We'll add some notes in the full version about such exceptions.

I hope after the Anno Domini 1666 Kickstarter we will see more news about Task Force level? :)

hopefully around September or October to coincide with the polish release would be good; fingers crossed it won't lag too far behind.
