As you have already seen on our FB profile, plastic horses we have mentioned some time ago become reality. It's very important move in By Fire and Sword's development which allow us significantly increase our production capacities and in consequence introduce our game to much more stores.

We'll have 5 different types of horses (3 horses in each type). Some units will use only one type, some two or even three. We'll publish some guidelines when the date of the premiere is near,.

Two types are ready (you can see them at pictures) and their mass production is going at this moment. For next three types moulds are currently produced and they will be moved to mass production in a few weeks. We don't have premiere date set in stone yet, we'll do it as soon as all types are ready and delivered to our warehouse. We expect that it will happen in late March or late April.

Does it mean end of the metal horses? No. Winged hussars, deli and silahdars will still ride on metal ones. All metal horses will be also available as blisters. You also have a few months to reinforce your army if you want to have only metal horses in force.

What about riders and infantry? Will they also be plastic one? Not in the near future, however cannot rule out possibility that few (but only just a few) formations which will appear in 2-Player Starter Set will be moved to plastic. Obviously we do it only if we're 100% satisfied with quality. But it's just a plan for the future, horses first :)

Perhaps the left horse from the top picture should be swapped with the middle horse from the lower?

Will the plastic horses be available at the Wilanow tournament? I.e. can I get my hands on some plastic Polish horses with pistols with which to equip my Dvorians with spears and Zavoievodchicy?

I don't think it's possible. Probably we'll have them at Salute.

Plastic horses - update

Dear players,

We have just started repacking our cavalry sets. We'll be repacking vast majority of cavalry sets with just a few exceptions. Winged hussars, silahdars and deli will still ride on metal horses Also all set with wagons will include metal horses and we keep special horses (like specific horses for some of the historical commanders).

You have the last chance to place an order for sets including metal horses. All orders placed in our webstore (wargamer.pl) by the 9th of June 23.59 Polish time will include metal horses. Next order will be dispatched with plastic ones.

If you don't want to wait for plastic horses you may order them now. In this case you need to type "plastic horses" in the field for remarks while placing your order. Please note you can't merge sets with plastic and metal horses in one order (excluding sets which remains in metal), so for example you can't order POL-6 with metal horses and POL-3 and POL-7 with plastic ones - you must place two separate orders.

All sets will plastic horses keep their current price. Cavalry sets with metal horses (winged hussars, deli and silahdars) will be slightly more expensive starting from 10th of June.

In USA Wargamer LLC will have metal horses while stock last. All new deliveries will include only sets with plastic horses.

Both metal and plastic horses will be available in blister containing 12 horses, we'll add them to our webstore during next week.

Plastic horses are finally available in our store

https://sklep.wargamer.pl/category/en/b ... es-plastic

Look at description of each set: we have named all units which can use that type of horse.

Please remember that sets in all orders placed by the end of the week (Sunday, 23.59 Polish time) will include metal horses. Starting from Monday you may order only sets with plastic horses (with few previously mentioned exceptions like hussars, deli and silahdars).

So in the new cavalry sets, will all the horses be of one type or a mix? Is there a way to see the type designation on the plastic model (e.g. stamped under the base)? Knowing myself they'll probably get mixed up sooner or later...

They will be mixed (where is possible) for more variety. Unfortunately it's to late to add any stamp with number :/
