I received my Kickstarter this week and took the time to write a rather long Deluge Rulebook and content review on my blog. For those interested in what the new book offers just follow the link : http://anatolisgameroom.blogspot.se/201 ... eview.html

But from your description i don't really see a difference between Swedes, Holy Roman Empire and Brandenburg-Prussia? Looks very similar.

The Swedes are the true elite in BF&S, good tactical discipline, veteran regiments and good motivation. The Brandenburg-Prussia has very small regiments while HRE has larger regiments but share the poor motivation and penalties. At a division level the differences are that the Swedes can field Transylvanian/Polish/Brandenburg regimental allies, HRE can field Polish and Brandenburg regiments, B-P can field Polish and Swedish regiments :-)

One importand thing you omitted: HRE are able to field complete regiments of Armoured Cuirassiers :D Even the Skirmish Force cannow be fully armoured if you want. This wasn't possible in the PDF.

But only 'old' regiment can be fully armoured, which makes it quite expensive and somehow limited (1 regiment in 3-regiments strong, or 2 regiments in 4+ regiments strong division). All armoured cuirassiers in skirmish will also make if very expensive in FSP :)

Sure. Durability has its price :D
But i will stick to my Brandenburgians for my western style army. My regular opponent already owns the HRE Skirmish Set :)
