What kind of feedback from the tourney use of beta-version? Major rewriting or minor tweaks ahead?

There is a need of clarifying few thing (like turn "0") plus add a little bit more balance as iconRON seems to be too strong (and iconTUR probably too).

Surely that is only accurate representation of the sophisticated administrative and military culture of the Ottomans iconTUR ;)

I just put up a battle report video of a task force game if you want to see what it looks like in practice. Wouldn't normally post that here, but it seems relevant. Hope that's ok.

Another great video! Has me even more interested in the task force rules (Tricky to read for me, but I am slowly making sense of them).

I'm looking forward to read those rules. I play with Sweden and I hope it will be a way to play with pikemen and cavalry.

Have now read through the Task Force rules with the help of Google Translator and my own meagre Polish skills.

It is very interesting.

I like that there are Supply Points you can spend for equipment like spears, arquebuses, kalkans, etc. Some units cost FSP AND Supply Points. You get more Supply Points when buying Transport Wagons but also looses Reconnaissance Points because of the wagons and/or artillery or other high profile units. Some units like Scouts and Dragoons give extra Reconnaissance Points.

Each force has a vanguard of 1 or 2 units which fight against each other in "Turn 0" which influences the amount of Reconnaissance Points.
Both players can now use Reconnaissance Effects but you generally gain only a few points.

You can buy a third or even 4th Sub-Commander.
You can use Medium Cannons and other units which are normally not available on Skirmish Level.

Your don't field Banners/Companies you field Squadrons. Usually 1 in the Vanguard, 3 in the Main Force and depending on list you can buy 3 or 4 additional Squadrons.

As in Division Level you have Morale and Break Points. Some units (Transport Wagons, Elite units, etc) are marked with one or two stars which means when something bad happens to such units you will loose additional Break Points. Once the Breaking Points of the Task Force are gone each unit has to perform a Morale test or Feels without any possibility to rally. Also you can't rally or reorganise units anymore.

Yep, it's pretty cool. I really like the new supply rules. The other tweaked mechanic is command. You do have a general (4x4 base) but no regiment level orders. Just that one simplification speeds up the game nicely compared to Divisions.

I'm now very curious about how the scenarios will shape up because many of the skirmish scenarios just don't work well with all the extra bases on the table. I do like the Task Force version of take and hold with 3 hills.
