Just wondering if the skirmish lists for the Polish/Lith forces in the Main rulebook (revised) are still valid. Been trying to plan out a Polish force and saw the Lithuanian one that has the Hetman's Banners of Elite Panceri .... didnt want to buy models toward it and find out it is obsolete

thanks!

Which skirmish list is this, and in what source did you find it (BFaS 1st or 2nd, Deluge, or on one of the pdf's)?

I did a quick scan, but didn't find it.

As far as I understood, all lists for Poland-Lithuania and Sweden are replaced by those from the Deluge.
All other lists in the Deluge are additions (so now 2 Sasiezcna Guard lists, one with and one without the Defensive Skirmish List rule).

Cheers,
Zagin

I've been ninja'd by Glorfindel I see. ;)

It's first Lithuanian skirmish (1649-54) in revised Rulebook/"The Deluge"- my favourite :)

Aha, that list.
It's going to be the first list I'll make when I start with my Lithuanians. :D
Only thing I 'need' for this list is some reiters, but they are in my planning list as is.

Cheers,
Zagin

anyone want to shed any light on what exactly the "hetman's banners" means ... just that its part of the commanding generals personal forces?

No, each hetman was a nominal commander of banner(s) of cavalry, regiment(s) of infantry and dragoons. The same way as king was nominal commander of such units as well, wealthy nobles, etc. Royal and hetman's banners were usually counted as the best troops in army, with the best soldiers and - thanks to patronage - with better access to equipment (at least in theory).
