Translation won't happened due to many reasons, main one being that sources do not translate well.

But everyone around me speaks German :D

It'a a pity that Eastern Europe is so uninteresting for the majority of Western Europeans. I wonder why? Because of the decades lasting Iron Curtain?

I'd say translate into English and German.

A translation providing some general information is better than no translation and missing out on any information. :D

The rules would probably accomodate Livonian campaign without too much hassle, and they might be interesting to play. Forcelists and special rules would probably need quite a lot fiddling.
Wargamer figures are too late though - might not show in cossacks, but is obvious in troops like hussars, musketeers and reiters.

Skirmish-level games should be ok, problem would start with division-level games. Structure of Polish and Lithuanian cavalry 'pułks' was different, Swedes didn't have cavalry regiments until 1628, Poles didn't have infantry regiments until late 1627 and rarely used pikes, etc. I also agree regarding miniatures - majority of both ranges would be of no use there.

Well perhaps iconWG will delve into pre-1648 sometimes? After all the Northern Wars begun 1558 and then there is the Long War in South-Eastern Europe.

Currently we don't have such plans, it would required plenty of new army lists and huge new range of minis.
