Lately it's been quiet on the gaming front, but I've been painting instead.
Mostly the new stuff is for my Swedish division, but a couple of Muscovites came along.

These are my Swedish marauders. I played with idea of playing 1Fsp Swedish marauders list in Wilanow. It would have saved space, but the idea was discarded. I think that would have a bit too dull to play (the role playing opportunities could be fun thought) :-D
Anyway the base with a goose is the command base as I thought a banner would be too much.

Then there are the cannons. Light cannons are for my old type mercenary infantry and the 12pdr is for my garrison division. Also there is an ammunition wagon in that list.

And finally the new Muscovites. I had miscalculated the streltsy for the Karelian skirmish list, so here are the missing two bases. that brings the total ten bases of these bad boys. Also I needed to pain two more bases of Boyar son. The other two bases just came along.

Thanks for watching. Hope You liked them. Some of these well be in the tournament. (I knew I should have included a 12pdr gun to the Swedish defense of Karelia list X| Oh well...

Kiitos ja moi!

Awesome stuff Samu! Looks really nice - and a 1FSP Marauder list sounds like fun. :-D

You could have given them another banner (bit torn) from another faction, so that they "blame" another for the pillaging (and raping?). Like in the movie Snapphaner, where the Swedes ride in Danish colors. X| (Doesn't matter how "non-historical" the movie is, it is about the idea of blaming other. 8) )

Thank You all for liking my stuff.

Roland, the bases are self-made 6mm thick board. It gives the miniatures a sort of boardgame pawn feeling. Some say they are too thick, but I like them and they are really easy to rank and move on the tabletop.

They look too thick to me but if you are happy with them then that is what matters.

Zagin You are too kind.
Now I'm painting some field dragoons and Muscovite reiters, but I'm half way trough the base colours.
Nex time I start something new and paint only a few bases, I will try to make a picture diary of the process.

But basically I'm quite lazy painter and try to cut corners where ever I can.
First I base my models, apply sand and prime them with black spray.
Then I paint the base colours. Every part of the model gets painted. After that it's time for Army Painter Dark tone ink (Yes I'm that lazy X| )
The last step is to paint every colour again. This time I leave some of the areas unpaintead (creating shaded areas) Areas painted with Vallejo Blue Steel, I leave without the second layer.
Bases are drybrushed with Vallejo Flat Earth and followed by Vallejo Desert Yellow. Then its just static grass, tufts and anti-shine varnish.

Kiitos ja moi!
Samu
