On p60 of the Revised Rulebook Limber/Unlimber is 1 special maneuver for light guns and 2 for medium and heavy so, somebody must be able to. The guns must have gotten to the battlefield somehow.

Could be that the rule was written with the intent to use it for larger scale games (so over Division, level 3 and 4), which are mentioned in the book as well, but are not available now. Confusing? Yes, very much.

As far as I understand you always have lumbers. There is just ko model for it.

It is my understanding the artillery train in this period consisted mainly of hired civilians, who took their limbers out of the battlefield once the guns had been deployed, only to return when the fighting was over.

At 2015 Wilanów one of my opponents just turned around his guns to show that they where limbered.

you can check my 'conversion' for such artillery limber - https://goo.gl/photos/RBJZBwdETE3Ku4aM8
unfortunately it shows not painted version but can give you some picture of how it could be done for our game :)

That is actually a nice model!

I do get the confusion. I have never played with guns myself, but as far as I understood, we always have limber (without the model) like BlackLegion said. However, the rulebook does mention to "move the limber model towards the gun" to be able to move it.

I picked up a supply wagon set to use as the limbered gun, it saves me having to cannibalize a gun model and makes for a good dual-purpose unit.

Well done, that's a great solution. Is that a jasyr figure pushing the gun along?

I didn't know guns could be limbered, but its good to know. It was sorting of bugging me that my iconRUS Field Dragoons and Servant Cossacks could move around mounted, but not their accompanying guns.

Btw, I guess that if we're going to make limbers, we should also have horse holders for dragoon units.
