Nice conversions and greenstuff handling. Wonder how the base will look completely finished. Good luck! 8)

A couple of shots of a Defend the Crossing against Ottomans. I was attacking with the Karelia list.

It was a great game. He deployed two strong cavalry units on the opposite side of the river to push me back, charging me on the first turn, but 8 bases of Streltsy and a 5 base squadron of Dvorians are about the toughest Muscovy nuts there are to crack, so I managed to repel him. After that it was a matter of swarming his remaining units with Cossack Boatmen and Boyar Sons charging up both flanks and moving up the Streltsy, Provincial Soldats and Orthodox Peasants to capture the central bridge from his Janissaries. 6 scenario points for me!

Now, to continue painting the actual Dvorian models, so I don't have to use my Skirmish Sotnia anymore to stand in for them.

Here are the first two bases of Dvorians:

Very nice models to paint, to all the different colours means they take a bit longer.

Great painting (as always :) )!

One thing - the sotnia commander (in the center of the left base) should have a banner bearer with him, but that's just a minor aesthetic problem :)

I finished the Dvorians:

Which means that I now also have everything to deploy the Karelian skirmish list:

And here they are, fighting their way out of a Swedish ambush:

I'm slowly starting to expand my skirmish troops into regiments. I have three available now:

Pomiesta:

Six more bases of Dvorians with spears to add here.

Streltsy:

These should have another two bases added, so I can form them up into a single unit of 12 bases. Outnumbering almost guaranteed and successful morale checks almost guaranteed. :p

Reiters:

These will eventually be expanded to form at least three units of 6 bases, along with the Lancers of course.

Now on the painting table are another commander and a light artillery piece for the Border Dragoons.

Then its on to another company of Field Dragoons plus their artillery and commander, and I'll have a full division of five regiments. Just a divisional commander, divisional troops and artillery to go then.

And here is the fourth regiment, of Border Dragoons (and a Messenger as a bonus):

I was wondering how best to deploy these? Because they don't have Pike and Shot rules, it makes no sense to deploy the Pikemen behind the block of musketeers. So is it better to just deploy them on the side?
