Hi
I picked up the 8 Wagon box and cannot figure out how the artilery is mounted? Does any one have some detailed pictures of this?

Thanks William

It's just a bipod which is leaned against the wagons corner. Put the gun on top of it. Voilá!

The same question was asked in this thread. There's even a picture (but not very good).

Great thanks.

Does any one have any historical illustrations of the wagons, would love too see how they looked. I would think that, that little bracing could not handle the recoil of their gun.

I have seen some illustrations of the hussite wagons and wonder how similar they where. I know that they where much more heavily protected, but the bracing of the guns seems more substantialy braced.

There are not many contemporary images of the Cossack tabor. But I would think they could be equipped with swivel guns. The same type that can be found on ships. These use only a light mount with a spike, but that would be enough for these light guns.

The following illustration shows just these kinds of guns, and shows up often when you Google "козацька гармата" I.e. Cossack armaments.
