Looking awesome! Seeing this I really have to repaint my stuff. Damn this is some awesome quality painting. What do you use except from much patience? X|

Thanks! In fact, patience is the most difficult instrument to handle, especially with 15mm miniatures. Sometimes I just started to hate all those horses, and had to buy some horse-sausage to drive-off my hatred ))

Looking very good. A nice addition to the other troops.

What will you do next? And when will you do group shots?

Nothing wrong with horse sausage, quite tasty as a matter of fact. ;)

Cheers,

Nice to hear that)! Soon I'll show commander base with hand-made banner (I'm too inaccurate to deal with original self-sticking banners :| ). After that 5 FS skirmish force will be ready for group shot.

I think, next will be more light cav and haiduks (and some cossaks, awaiting for balkan visa).

Oh, yes, especially hand made! :D

Sure, why ask for something you can take yourself. ))

Of course - I have strong feelings to all those moldavian and transnistrian brigands! Just need to buy 2-3 blisters.

So, let me introduce our noble commander Mr. Istvan Mekisve and his trusted battle-worn retainers.

P.S.
As I said earlier, this ragged banner is hand-painted and hand-cutted)) Used one of the included sticker-banners as example.

Again, awesome stuff! Highly inspirational. 8) Really love the colors you used and that banner is just awesome. I have been thinking about hand painting too, but again, too lazy. X|

Of course I have a question again. What do use on the bases? I mean, it seems like you have a layer of something before the sand is put on. True?

I use some sort of glue, but 2 layers was too much... Guess 1 layer is enough.

Thank you!

Bingo! ;)
I use some kind of acrylic paste for woodworks. Apply it on the base (carefully with wet sculpting tool) and wait about 12-18 hours for it to stiffen. Then I add sand and cork (for large stones).

Very nice :) But one criticism: All horses for your commander base are the same pose/model. I avoid this as hell :D

The command is participating in a parade. They have been working their butts off (or of?) and those of their horses to be walking exactly the same. 8-)
