Hi, I recently bought the Polish Skirmish set. I'm having trouble working out which of the cossack style cavalry make up the two command stands with the banner.

The two models that can hold the banners are part of it but which of the other 10 go with them? The two unarmoured men holding the swords makes sense that there are two of them but they don't seem any different from the others minus the armour. Also the models are different from the box photo so I can't use that as a guide.

Thanks.

The first two from the left on the upper row are commanders and should be placed the on the same base and banner bearer. Rest of models can be placed anywhere you want.

Thanks for the help. Is there anything distinctive about them I should take into account when painting? It's embarrassing to say this but they look the same as the next two to me.

They don't wear uniforms of any kind. Every rider is a noble (szlachcic, plural = szlachta) with his own taste of garments.

Thanks. I'm still wondering what makes the command model the commander so I can tell with future models?

Don't the indicated models have a baton in their left hand?
