It is indeed.

But not entirely unusual locally - there are 4 local clubs now, and one regularly holds small tournaments on Thursdays (often over a span of 2 or 3 consecutive ones). Bizarrely they have held weekend games on the beach before. Hazards can include incoming tide. (I avoid those ones, beach gamers tend to be 40k or Bolt Action players).

Will post more details as and when (or if!) I find out.

There are quite a few BFaS players for Scarborough.
I'm aware of 5 with rules and more than one skirmish force, plus another dozen who have given it a try and are willing to play if they can borrow a force.

Shame it is not on a Saturday or Sunday as I would have come up for the day.

Some interesting games - Muscovites vs Tatars (defend the river), Brandenburg vs Tatars (patrol), Swedes vs Ottomans (forage), Muscovites vs Transylvanians (patrol) as the first batch (we are having to play over a couple of separate sessions, we had a lot of interested viewers who were keen to see how the game worked, and may get some more players from them.) But I don't have the scores (apart from my game where the Tatars lost both the bridge and the ford on turn 2, but managed by pure luck to recapture both on turn 6, so managed a 5:2 victory) - hopefully will pick the scores up tomorrow night.
Equally interesting was the local trader who has decided that he will try to become a stockist - always useful to have a local source of figures.
