Martin (Mr Peter Pig) has asked if i will do a write up of the Championships for the 15mi magazine.

Please let me know, on the day, if you object to me making any notes / taking pictures

But it will be FREE publicity for the game

and boy we can do with more players

Are 'Special Figures' being used?

I would suggest that they are not allowed because it would be unfair on the newer players.

if both players wish to use special figures then it's OK, but both players need to agree.

First of all, massive thank you to all who took a part in the tournament! You are the most important element, no players– no tournaments. Secondly, big thank you to Wargamer for support. I appreciate that every year I can count on you guys. Finally thanks to Battlefield Hobbies for letting us play in such a great venue!

I hope you all enjoyed your games. This year we did't have a single Polish/ Lithuanian player, but instead three Cossack players! As we could expext Ed and Roland had tough fight for first place. But Sometimes when two fighing, then someone else can grab something for himself ;) Ed and Roland had drawed in last game, Toby managed to win 5-1 with Richard and that made him the new UK Champion! As usual it was very tight between top players. Congrats to Toby!

Results: Big points/small points

1. Toby iconKOZ 12/17
2. Ed iconTAT 11/8
3. Roland iconKOZ 11/7
4. Nick iconRUS 10/8
5. Paul iconDAN 9/9
6. Lewis iconSWE 7/4
7. Charles iconKOZ 6/1
8. Richard iconTUR 6/0

Cheers!
Mattski.

Biggest thank you to YOU mattski

For organising this and putting up with our many questions

Look forward to seeing you at the 'Falling Sabre' [English spelling] of 2019 down here in Poole - and this time you can play.

Offer of some rooms to stay in still stand

Thanks for impeccable organisation Mattski, and answering our interminable rules queries. We simply don't play enough! Three great games and a surprising result... looking forward to the next one. We'll try and get something organised down here on the lovely south coast.

Many thanks to my three opponents and Mattski for a very enjoyable day and well done to Toby for coming first, it must have been my tips on how to use the Cossacks after the first game! :D

A most unusual list of armies with 3 x Cossacks, 1 x Swedish, 1 x Tartar, 1x Muscovite, 1 x Ottoman and 1 x Danish!

Ed did you find out about the vanguard unit in Capture the Crossing?
