The rule books are in, the Polish Peasants skirmish force is in and I played some games with my Erik Jönsson's Recon skirmish to get the feel of the game (and loved it, although I lose 9 out of 10 games). But now it is time to give some love to my peasants.

When I opened this topic I had some questions, but I can answer them myself now. 8-)
Is it possible to expend the skirmish force?
Yes, you can.
If yes, with which units can the skirmish force be expended?
Polish peasants and nobles.

I want to experiment with this skirmish force and depending on how much I like it, I might buy more blisters of the peasants and nobles. It would give a nice fully filled skirmish list (and the option to trade in the first unit of nobles if I like to experiment). :D But, I bought this one for fun, something different from all shock troops and elites (playing Swedes and Transylvania).

Other questions:
1] The skirmish box gives 4 bases of peasants with fire arms, when you will glue all fire armed miniatures together. In the book however we see 5 units and each unit may replace 1 normal peasant base for a fire armed peasant base. Did I miss something here, or may I mix 3 non-fire arm carrying peasants with the fire armed peasants to create 5 bases of fire arms?
Want to know this one before I start to glue and paint. :D
Two peasants with fire arms and one without, will make a fire weapons base. 8)

Tim, you can mix them (two models with fire arms and one without standing on one base are fine).

Thank you Glorfindel. Time to clean some models. 8) Hope I can use them on 30 May for a demo game at a Dutch convention. 8-)

Well... They are not finished, but I am putting the bases together. Kontos has made a nice topic of his painted models and it does help me to get some work done. In the openingpost I am talking about expanding the force and now that I am really busy with the skirmish force, I came up with a question.

+1 FSP for 5 bases of peasants and +1 FSP for 4 bases of Nobles.
On the FSP: 2 line, there is a choice between Noble and Peasant partisans. In other words, you won't get all the max. bases adding 2 FSP to the list.

Full peasant partisan force: +2 FSP - 5 bases peasants & 2 bases nobles
Full noble partisan force: +2 FSP - 3 bases peasants & 4 bases nobles
For +2 FSP I get 7 bases of partisans.

Now for the question(s):
Do I 'lose' strength points this way, or is maxing out compensating for a weaker part and a stronger part for each +1 FSP? 8-)

The second sentention is true. Please remember they have "small skirmish force" rule even if they are 6 FSP strong (maxed nobles and peasants + cossack style cavalry)
